• Create or use a MyEats account;
• Save, import, organize, share, or cook recipes in the app;
• Use recipe import from sources such as websites, screenshots, social platforms, or pasted text;
• Use grocery list, grocery store, or grocery delivery features;
• Contact us for support, feedback, surveys, or product research.

2. Eligibility and Children

MyEats is intended for adults who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 has provided personal information, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We may collect information such as your name, email address, authentication provider, profile photo, account settings, subscription status, and support identifiers.

3.2 Recipe and Cooking Content

When you use MyEats, you may provide or create:

• Recipe titles, ingredients, steps, servings, prep time, cook time, tags, folders, collections, and meal ideas;
• Imported or AI-extracted recipe details, including generated summaries and structured cooking instructions;
• Recipes, folders, grocery lists, or cooking plans you share with friends, partners, household members, or other users.

3.3 Grocery and Household Preferences

If you use grocery features, we may collect grocery shopping preferences, store preferences, selected grocery providers, household list details, checked-off grocery items, and ingredient lists generated from your recipes.

3.4 Optional Nutrition and Wellness Information

MyEats is currently focused on recipes, organization, cooking, and grocery workflows. If optional nutrition-related features are available and you choose to use them, we may process the information you provide for those features, such as nutrition estimates, meal metadata, or dietary preferences.

3.5 Communications and Feedback

We collect the content of messages you send us, including support requests, bug reports, survey responses, research feedback, and chatbot or help center interactions.

3.6 Device, Usage, and Website Data

We may automatically collect:

• Device type, operating system, app version, browser type, IP address, and general location inferred from IP;

MyEats may use artificial intelligence and machine learning systems to help extract recipe details from links, screenshots, images, video frames, text, or other content you submit. This can include identifying ingredients, cooking steps, servings, prep time, cook time, cuisine, tags, and grocery list items.

Submitted content and generated recipe metadata may be processed by our cloud infrastructure and AI service providers, including Firebase, Google Cloud, and Gemini or Vertex AI services. AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate, so you should review recipes, ingredients, cook times, allergens, and food safety details before relying on them.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to make the site work, improve performance, understand usage, remember preferences, and measure marketing. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. If we provide a cookie preference tool, you may also use that tool to adjust choices where available.

6. How We Use Information

• Provide and maintain MyEats recipe, grocery, account, and subscription features;
• Import, parse, organize, sync, search, and display recipes and grocery lists;

• Other users or household members when you choose to share recipes, folders, grocery lists, or meal plans;

• Account information: You can update certain account details in the app.
• Recipe content: You can edit or delete recipes, collections, and grocery lists in the app where supported.
• Marketing: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails.
• Device permissions: You can manage camera, photo, notification, and other app permissions in your device settings.
• Cookies: You can manage website cookies through browser settings.

9. Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, receive a copy of, or opt out of certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to appeal a decision we make about a privacy request.

MyEats is based in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from those in your location.

MyEats may link to or integrate with third-party services, including social platforms, websites, grocery providers, payment processors, analytics services, and app stores. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Policy.
